Farmaci antitossse e decongestionanti nasali: nessuna seria controindicazione per la somministrazione in gravidanza e allattamento in condizioni fisiologiche.
Benagol pastiglie: I principi attivi 2,4-diclorobenzil alcool e amilmetacresolo sono dotati di attività antibatterica locale ad ampio spettro su patogeni gram-positivi e gram-negativi, e su miceti presenti nel cavo orofaringeo. Il mentolo esplica una azione balsamica. L’acido ascorbico ha proprietà antiossidanti e capillaro-protettive. E’ un utile coadiuvante del trattamento delle malattie da raffreddamento. Pur essendo un prodotto “da banco” e quindi abitualmente e a torto dispensato senza obbligo di ricetta medica, deve essere somministrato solo in caso di effettiva necessità e sotto la responsabilità del medico o ginecologo curante.
Acetilcisteina: L’Acetilcisteina (Fluimucil, Solmucol; NAC, N-Acetilcisteina) è una sostanza ad azione mucolitica: riduce la viscosità del muco rompendo I ponti disulfuro delle glicoproteine. E’ utilizzata anche negli interventi di angioplastica per ridurre l’incidenza di nefropatia indotta dai mezzi di contrasto. E’ utilizzata inoltre per I casi di ipercoagulabilità seminale nei maschi e nei casi di scarsezza o ispessimento del muco cervicale nelle donne. Solumucol cpr 200 mg contiene aspartame, fonte di fenilalanina; è quindi controindicato in pazienti con fenilchetonuria. Inoltre l’aspartame è un farmaco dotato di notevole tossicità e quindi, avendo a disposizione numerosi farmaci alternative, è assolutamente controindicato in gravidanza e allattamento.
